Target Tracking Software 

The PerceptiVU Target Tracking Software is a Linux based system for video tracking and image processing applications.  PerceptiVU’s Software can go on the 1U Rackmount Chassis CPU (see the Optional Hardware page for more details) or on your desktop or laptop computer for extremely portable, cost effective target tracking and image processing applications.
The improved efficiency and commercial availability of Gigahertz CPUs make an off-the-shelf, Linux based, embedded target tracking platform increasingly powerful and achievable.  Other kinds of tracking systems developed in hardware are highly proprietary and expensive to modify or enhance for any particular tracking scenario.


PerceptiVU’s software based tracker allows for quick implementation of new and different tracking algorithms offering new functionality and low research and development costs.  Such algorithms can be “custom tailored” for specific tracking applications.  The software’s architecture can also take advantage of commercially available peripherals (i.e. touch screen monitors, joystick controllers, 1394 image capture boards, and so on).
